Modern Summer Wedding at Hotel La Tour, Milton Keynes (Just Down the Road!)
Sasha + Dino’s hot, hot summer wedding in Milton Keynes was one we won’t forget in a hurry. At times, it honestly felt like we were shooting a destination wedding in Spain - but we were literally just around the corner from home!
They chose Hotel La Tour for their day, a striking 14-storey venue in the heart of Milton Keynes, overlooking the green open spaces of Campbell Park. The hotel only opened its doors in April 2022, but it’s fast become one of the most popular city venues in the area.
Sasha + Dino’s ceremony took place on the sun-soaked outdoor terrace, followed by a relaxed BBQ reception and incredible live music from Tru Groove.
As wedding photographers in Milton Keynes, it was exciting to see such familiar places in a completely new light. One of our favourite moments was heading over to MK Gallery with the couple, using their vibrant, contemporary exterior walls for some fun, colourful portraits.
Wedding Morning at Hotel La Tour – Relaxed Vibes and Football Nerves
Sasha has to be one of the most chilled brides we've ever met. She got ready with her girls in the bridal suite at Hotel La Tour, with plenty of laughs, glam time, and a visit from her children - giving the whole morning a warm, family-centred vibe.
Dino, meanwhile, was up in the Fourteen Sky Bar, nervously watching the football as the day ahead started to sink in.
We loved using the hotel’s bright foyer and floor-to-ceiling windows to capture Sasha’s dress - simple and stunning in the natural light. The calm morning also gave us time to explore the hotel’s architecture and scout out some of our favourite portrait spots for later in the day.
An intimate ceremony on the outside terrace
The outside terrace at Hotel La Tour offers a private space that feels open and hidden at the same time. It blends in nicely with the contemporary architecture of the hotel and gives proper cosmopolitan city vibes. Attached is a function room where wedding breakfasts and entertainment can be held and it is also very separate to the rest of the hotel. Sasha + Dino kept their theming modern and minimal. Their flower arch was supplied by Acorn + Oak Weddings & Events, a local supplier in Milton Keynes who also offers full design and wedding co-ordination services too.
The registrar-led ceremony was just perfect. Sasha + Dino made sure to have some fun - breaking down in hysterics when an insanely loud motorbike roared past Hotel La Tour disrupting a really intimate and sensitive part to the ceremony. They did not take themselves too seriously and weren’t afraid to make sure they enjoyed their wedding day, so our kinda people!
